Lance Armstrong’s Black 28 Team RadioShack Jersey Prompts Fans To Ask: Where Can I Buy It?

by admin on July 25, 2010

Yesterday’s risky stunt to show up in unapproved, black 28 race jerseys, could have gotten all of Team Radio Shack / Livestrong kicked out of the 2010 Tour de France, which would have been a sad thing for team member Levi Leipheimer, who is poised to walk away from this year’s tour with a very respectable result. Currently, Levi is 13th in the overall standings.

Still, Team RadioShack stuck together to make a bigger statement by attempting to ride in the unsanctioned all black cycling jersey, blank, save for the number “28″ emblazoned on it. As Lance Armstrong explained, the effort was in support of the Livestrong Foundation (an official sponsor of Team RadioShack) and it was intended to honor an estimated 28 Million people fighting cancer.

However, Lance Armstrong fans are likely to be sorely disappointed – as many jumped online immediately to find out where to buy an official black 28 jersey for the Livestrong Foundation, it’s not (yet) available for sale anywhere online.

Online athletic stores such as Finish Line carry a wide selection of Official NIKE LIVESTRONG Clothing, such as the black Livestrong T-shirt featured above, where you can buy an official Livestrong T-Shirt, shorts, sneakers and Oakley Sunglasses as worn by Team Radio Shack in the 2010 TDF.

Otherwise, TDF fans can only look here to Buy Official Team RadioShack Cycling Jerseys and related cycling gear.
